Backpressure Monitor Kit

Standard Backpressure Monitor Kit provides a dependable measure of exhaust restriction from the vehicle exhaust pipe directly to a convenient dash mounted monitor.

Standard Backpressure Monitor Kit is a self contained module with:

  • Built-in factory preset and calibrated micro-switch.
  • Built-in time delay relay to avoid signal spikes and enhance signal consistency.
  • Built-in indicator lights for Power On and Excessive Pressure notification
  • Easy to reach Reset switch on module face.
  • Four pressure settings; 27", 42", 50" and 60" H2O, corresponding to most common maximum allowable backpressure as set by engine manufacturers.
  • Functions safely in ambient temperatures up to 800C.
  • Available as a 12/24V with polarity protection and in-line fuse.
  • The in-line water trap prevents moisture and condensed water from reaching the micro-switch.

Backpressure Monitor Kit Operation

The Power indicator light remains on while the engine is running. The Excessive Pressure indicator light will illuminate upon receiving a sustained 30-second steady pressure signal. This light will remain on until the excessive backpressure is alleviated. The RESET switch will reset the backpressure alarm.
